The County Show

Fire Service Demonstration
I know the dangers of chip pan fires but above is a graphic demonstration.
Half a cup of water produced the fireball, about 10 seconds after it was thrown
in. The scorched earth gives some idea of the range of the fire. The moral is
do not throw water on fat fires.
Around the show and in the main ring
Helicopter rides.
Archery.
If you read the James Bond novels this Bentley is the car he drives. His
is grey rather than British Racing Green. A lovely machine whatever the
colour.

Steam traction being one of my loves there had to be a couple of shots of
the traction engines at the show.

Falconry
Unfortunately it was too hot for a display of falconry the day I went to
the show. Above you see some of the birds trying to keep cool.
