The Incomplete Guide to The Italy
In the summer of 1998 I decided to visit Italy. The outward trip was taken on
the Orient Express and fulfilled a long held ambition to travel on that famous
train. After arrival in Venice I spent three days there, then three days in
Florence followed by five days in Rome. It was just enough time to get a taste
of these three cities, you could easily spend much more time in any of them.
This guide will be in four sections, one for each city and one for the Orient
Express journey to Italy. There are pictures which can be viewed from suitable
points in the text or from an index page link at the bottom of this page.
I certainly enjoyed Italy and I hope you enjoy the observations and pictures.
