I was listening to BBC Radio 4 and heard a program on mangos a couple of months ago. On it and Indian mango expert gave a new way to eat this wonderful fruit. Well it was new to me!
You need a ripe mango. A ripe mango will give a little when squeezed. You can get fibrous mangos, you do not what one of them. You want a juicy ripe big one. What you then do is squeeze and massage it without breaking the skin. Inside the fruit you are pulping the flesh. Cut a small hole in the skin and suck out the juice and pulped flesh. This is a fantastic way to eat a mango. Alright the skin splits sometimes and you end up covered in juice but that is part of the fun.
